Stan Sakai

From Garage Art Studios: "For nearly 30 years, Stan Sakai’s Usagi Yojimbo has set a high-water mark for creator-owned comics. Stan’s wife, Sharon, has battled a debilitating illness for some time; after an extended hospital stay and convalescence, she is now back home, but her condition requires 24-hour care and medicines that cost more than their insurance covers.

CAPS, the Cartoon Art Professional Society, has decided to provide whatever assistance we can, starting with an ongoing auction of original art. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Stan & Sharon to help pay their ongoing medical expenses."

Here's a link to some comics I drew in Spanish, written by other people.

There are also other comics written by these same people, drawn by other cartoonists!

A certificate!

I just got a huge certificate for my year at the Center for Cartoon Studies! So what does this mean... Do I have a Masters in Fine Arts? No! Will I become rich and famous? No! Am I a certified good cartoonist? No! Can I charge more for my free drawings? No!
But the certificate looks über awesome. It is worth every penny I paid for it!

"Work" as a cartoonist

Sister's hair

I met a cartoonist friend of mine recently. I haven't seen him in a long time.
